Well I have been told that I am a "pain in the neck" but today I had a pain in the neck! I am not sure how it happened but my neck has hurt all day. I over-slept a bit by waking up around 6:55 AM (when I had to be in work by 8 AM). I probably had the neck pain but didn't notice as I hussled to get ready for work. (By the way I got in by 7:50 AM and was shaved, showered and dressed appropriately :) ) When I got to work my neck felt so stiff and it hurt whenever I turned my head. In the afternoon I had to drive to one of my centers that was an hour and a half away from home and every time I merged into traffic and had to turn my head it hurt. I had a new therapist that started yesterday who is still orienting. Since he had to practice using the electric stimulation units I had him do a treatment to my neck which did help. I then came home and took a pain pill and anti-inflammatory which I have as PRN pills because of my leg-length discrepancy but they didn't touch my pain. I called my buddy who does massage and reflexology and he came right over. He massaged it pretty vigorously and then applied Biofreeze. It still hurts but not as bad. So aside from my pain, it was an alright day. Have some drama going on in my life but thankfully none at work as work has been going really well lately. It is going to be a really busy rest of the week as I have an evening presentation I am giving Thursday night and then an early morning presentation on Friday that I'm giving. So by the time the weekend rolls around I am going to be zonked! There are two Royals games this weekend--Saturday and Sunday and I'm looking forward to those games. Speaking of the Royals--congratulations to Stefano Giliati, forward on the Royals, was selected ECHL player of the week. Congratulations Stefano, I'm sure your career is going to flourish! That's about all that is going on here right now. I hope you all have a terrific rest of your week! Jace |
