The Battle of Yavin, with the destruction of the dreaded Death Star, marked the largest victory the Rebel Alliance had over the Galactic Empire to date. In the time since, the Empire has skillfully plotted out its revenge and has been seeking out the new location of the Alliance. And on this day, the Empire succeeded in finding the secret base on the planet Hoth and a full scale attack has been launched.

With the discovery of the Alliance’s base on the planet Hoth came the deaths of many rebel soldiers and officers but fortunately for the Alliance the Empire came out of hyperspace too close to the planet allowing the Rebellion the opportunity for escape. Although Imperial Forces, under the direct leadership of Darth Vader himself, have take control of the base the majority of the Alliance has made it to safety including Princess Leia who was reported to have escaped in the Millenium Falcon with Captain Solo. Alliance command has issued the order that any remaining forces on the surface of Hoth are to escape at once, taking due care to avoid being followed . . . .
